  1. Do I need renters insurance if I don’t own much?

    The answer is simple – yes. You will be surprised when you add up the costs of your favorite couch, TV, clothes and computer. Are you able to replace them on your own?

  2. Doesn’t my landlord’s policy cover me?

    No. Your landlord’s policy covers the damage to the property you live in. However, it does not cover any of your personal belongings.

  3. What does Renters Insurance cover?

    It covers:

    • All your personal belongings up to your policy limits;
    • Personal liability in case somebody gets hurt on your premises or you unintentionally cause damage to someone’s else property;
    • Additional Living expenses if you are forced to temporarily move out due to a damage to your place;

  4. How fast do I get covered?

    You are covered on the date you indicate during the enrollment process. If it is the same day, then your policy activates the following day.

  6. Is renters insurance expensive?

    Not at all! On average it costs $10-$18 per month which is less than $1 a day.

  9. Do I have to pay full premium upfront?

    No. We have several payment options available for you that range from monthly to paying the full premium upfront.

  10. What perils are covered under renters policy?

    Your personal property is covered in the event of:

    • Fire or Lightning
    • Windstorm or Hail
    • Theft
    • Vandalism, and more

  11. Is my jewelry, silverware or cash covered?

    In the event of a theft the coverage for those items is limited. However, that limit can be increased for an additional premium.

  12. What if I have a very expensive collectible?

    Unfortunately, we do not schedule any personal property at this time.

  13. What if I move to another state?

    You can transfer your policy to any state where we offer renters insurance. Currently we are available in 45 states.

  14. How do I file a claim?
